Quantum Healing Hypnosis

Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) is a gentle, powerful form of hypnosis developed by Dolores Cannon that supports physical and emotional healing along with the integration of profound insight.

QHHT helps you access a higher level of your own awareness that exists beyond the conscious ego mind. This awareness is your truest essence — the wise, loving, eternal presence that has never been separate from you, despite all the painful and confusing moments the ego has felt disconnected from it.

In a QHHT session, you are guided into a deep, relaxed state (similar to the theta brainwave state you naturally enter just before sleep or during deep meditation). In this state, your conscious mind steps back, allowing what we’ll call your Higher Self to come forward and speak directly.

For more than 45 years, working with many thousands of clients in QHHT sessions, Dolores Cannon demonstrated that the Higher Self can:

  • Reveal the root causes of physical symptoms, emotional patterns, or recurring life challenges 
  • Offer clear answers to your deepest questions (health, relationships, purpose, past lives) 
  • Provide healing, release stored trauma, and restore balance on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels

How a QHHT Session Works

QHHT is safe, non-invasive, and deeply empowering. Many people leave sessions feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to themselves, with practical steps to support their well-being. The beauty of QHHT is that the healing and wisdom come from within you — not from me or any outside source. I simply facilitate a safe, supportive space so your Higher Self can share what you most need to hear right now, and if appropriate, provide direct relief from unwanted symptoms. There is no physical contact with me at any point during the session, and everything that is shared is strictly confidential.

During the Session

Over the course of 4-5 hours, in the comfort of a private retreat cabin surrounded by nature, we'll move through these steps:


  1. Preparation (up to 2 hours) | First, we'll take some time to settle in, allowing you to become familiar with the space and with me. I'll ask you to tell me about your life, the people in it, the major challenges you've encountered, and what your childhood was like. There is no judgment of anything you share — it is all relevant to the process. We'll talk through your questions and intentions so your Higher Self knows what’s most important to address. If you have any doubts or concerns about going into hypnosis, we can talk through those as well.
  2. Hypnosis (up to 2 hours) | Using guided hypnosis, we'll help your body and mind relax into a theta state where the Higher Self awareness is easily accessible. You will not need to do anything other than respond to questions to describe what you are experiencing. Your Higher Self will guide the session, often showing past lives, current-life roots of issues, or direct answers to your questions. If requested, your Higher Self can perform energetic healing, release blocks, and provide guidance for moving forward. The hypnosis session will be recorded for you to listen to later.
  3. Initial Debrief (up to 1 hour) | After the hypnosis, we'll take some time to ensure you feel fully grounded in the present time and space and fully awake in your body. We'll discuss what came up and how you can integrate the insights into your daily life. Before you leave, I'll encourage you to spend a few minutes writing down your main takeaways.

After the Session

There will likely be many details shared during your session which you don't consciously remember. After the session, you will be provided with a recording to review on your own time, deepening your understanding of what emerged. You are encouraged to listen to the recording several times, as you will likely gain additional insight each time you listen.


Along with the recording, you will be invited to schedule a 75-minute coaching session within the following three weeks. This follow-up session is not required but is recommended to support the integration of insights and develop practical ways to continue accessing your Higher Self awareness in everyday life. Completing this session during the window of heightened neuroplasticity that follows hypnosis will optimize results.

QHHT sessions take place in person at a private retreat cabin near Viroqua, Wisconsin, nestled in a peaceful rural setting. The address is provided upon booking, and a nearby rental cabin is available (at an additional cost) for those seeking overnight accommodations.

Common experiences clients have when accessing their Higher Self with QHHT include:


1. Revealing the Root Cause of Physical Symptoms

Many physical issues — chronic pain, fatigue, autoimmune conditions, digestive problems, or unexplained illnesses — carry an emotional, energetic, or even past-life imprint.
QHHT allows your Higher Self to show:

This empowerment is what makes the changes sustainable — you’re not just “fixed” in one session; you’re reconnected to the source of your own healing.


It is important that you understand: why are you doing this and what do you want to get out of it?


The best way to ensure you have clarity about why you are doing this is to write it down in one sentence. In addition to this overarching intention, you may have a list of specific questions you want answered. Questions may be related to healing (physical or emotional), understanding past experiences, or receiving clear guidance for any aspect of your life: relationships, purpose, job, home, habits, etc. If desired, you're also welcome to bring questions that go beyond your personal life and relate to the collective or universal truth. The number of questions we get through will be limited by the amount of time we have, so it will be important to identify your top priorities.


The answers you get in your session will entirely depend on your questions. If you do not have any questions, you will not get any answers.


Please come to the session with your intentions and questions written down on a single piece of paper. You'll also want to bring a bottle of water, a snack, and a journal.

In addition to QHHT, I also have training and experience in several modalities that support healing of emotional trauma, including Internal Family Systems, Compassionate Inquiry, psychedelic plant medicine, and meditation. Most importantly, your Higher Self knows you better than anyone — it will not reveal anything to you that would overwhelm your nervous system. It will only reveal what is useful for you at this time in your life.


The Higher Self is the wise, loving, eternal aspect of your awareness that exists beyond your everyday personality, thoughts, emotions, and ego. It is the deepest essence of who you are — connected to universal consciousness, divine intelligence, or Source — and it holds complete knowledge of your soul’s journey, purpose, past lives, and the lessons you’re here to learn. In QHHT sessions, we gently guide you into a deeply relaxed state where the conscious mind (the thinking, analyzing part) steps aside. This allows your Higher Self to come forward and speak directly. It can:

  • Provide clear answers to your most important questions (health, relationships, life purpose, etc.)
  • Reveal the root causes of physical symptoms, emotional patterns, or recurring challenges
  • Offer healing, release stored trauma, and restore balance on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels
  • Share guidance that feels profoundly loving, compassionate, and perfectly timed for where you are right now


Your Higher Self is not separate from you — it is you at the deepest level, already whole and awake. It knows exactly what you need for healing and growth, and it communicates in a way that is gentle, honest, and empowering. 


In everyday life, stress, distractions, and old beliefs can make it hard to hear this inner wisdom clearly. QHHT creates a safe, quiet space where the noise fades, and the voice of your Higher Self can be heard without interference. Many people describe the experience as:

The concept of the Higher Self in QHHT is fundamentally non-religious — it does not belong to any specific faith, doctrine, or institution. Instead, it is a universal, experiential description of the deepest, wisest, most loving aspect of your own being that is innately connected to the source of all life. 


This concept resonates deeply with the core truths found across many religious and spiritual traditions. It is not in conflict with religion; it is often recognized as the same divine essence that different faith traditions point to in their own language. You are welcome to use whatever term resonates with you. 


Here are a few examples of how the Higher Self aligns with different religious and spiritual perspectives:

  • Christian traditions
    The Higher Self aligns with Christ consciousness or the Christ within (Galatians 2:20: “It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me”). Meister Eckhart described it as "the ground of the soul" — the eternal, divine spark where God and the human soul are one. It is like the still small voice of the Holy Spirit (1 Kings 19:12), the gentle inner guidance that speaks when the mind is quiet.
  • Buddhist traditions
    The Higher Self aligns with primordial awareness or Buddha Nature — the innate, luminous, already-perfect essence of mind that is beyond ego and personality. 
  • Hindu & Vedantic traditions
    The Higher Self aligns with Atman — the eternal Self that is one with Brahman (ultimate reality). The Higher Self is the aspect of you that already knows its oneness with the divine.
  • Indigenous & shamanic traditions
    Many describe it as the spirit self, soul, or true self — the eternal essence that journeys beyond the physical body and communicates with ancestors, spirit guides, and the greater web of life.


In QHHT, we do not impose any religious framework.


The Higher Self speaks in the language that is most loving and understandable to the individual. It never judges, never demands belief in a specific doctrine, and always points toward love, compassion, forgiveness, and wholeness. 


The Higher Self is not a religious concept — it is a universal human experience of the divine presence already within you. Religions have different names and paths to point to this same reality. QHHT simply creates the quiet space for you to meet it directly, in whatever way feels most true and loving to you.


You are welcome to interpret this through whatever lens resonates with you — you are not being asked to believe in something that doesn't feel true. You are being invited to recognize that you have direct access to truth within you.


While QHHT itself has limited peer-reviewed studies (as it is a proprietary method developed by Dolores Cannon), it builds on decades of scientific research into hypnosis, theta brainwave states, and mind-body healing. 


As it relates to brainwave states, QHHT induces a deep theta-dominant state (4–8 Hz), often combined with light delta waves, similar to the hypnagogic phase between wakefulness and sleep. These well-documented theta-dominant states have been shown to:

  • Reduce stress hormones and activate parasympathetic healing
  • Increase neuroplasticity for rewiring beliefs and emotional patterns
  • Enhance access to subconscious material for trauma release
  • Promote heart-brain coherence and immune modulation

QHHT clients often report physical symptom relief, emotional breakthroughs, and greater clarity — outcomes consistent with what science shows is possible in deep hypnotic states.


EEG studies on hypnosis show:

Theta waves dominate during deep trance, associated with:

  • Increased access to subconscious memories and emotions
  • Enhanced imagery and creativity
  • Reduced critical thinking and filtering (allowing suggestions to bypass ego resistance)

Alpha-theta crossover (8–4 Hz transition) is linked to:

  • Heightened suggestibility
  • Emotional catharsis and release of trauma
  • Activation of the parasympathetic nervous system (rest-and-digest mode)


Hypnotic analgesia (pain relief) is one of the most studied applications. Meta-analyses show hypnosis reduces pain intensity by 20–50% in chronic pain conditions (e.g., fibromyalgia, cancer pain, IBS).


Studies also show that hypnosis facilitates age regression and trauma reprocessing, similar to EMDR but with deeper subconscious access.


Relevant studies:

  • Jensen et al. (2015) – Review of EEG hypnosis research: Theta power increases significantly during hypnotic analgesia and emotional processing. This state correlates with reduced pain perception and emotional reprocessing (Journal of Pain Research).
  • Landry et al. (2017) – fMRI study: Hypnotic trance reduces activity in the default mode network (DMN) and increases connectivity between executive control and salience networks — allowing focused attention on internal healing processes (Neuroscience of Consciousness).
  • Oakley & Halligan (2013) – Neuroimaging meta-analysis: Hypnosis alters activity in the anterior cingulate cortex (pain/emotion) and dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (executive control), supporting its use for pain management and emotional regulation.
  • Hammond (2010) – Review: Hypnosis significantly improves outcomes in irritable bowel syndrome, migraines, and surgical recovery (American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis).
  • Jensen et al. (2009) – Randomized trial: Hypnosis reduced pain and improved function in spinal cord injury patients more than standard care.
  • Spiegel & Spiegel (2004) – Classic text: Hypnosis is effective for PTSD, anxiety, and phobias by accessing and reframing traumatic memories in a safe state.
  • Bryant et al. (2005) – RCT: Hypnosis combined with cognitive therapy reduced acute stress disorder symptoms more effectively than CBT alone.

You do not need to believe in anything that doesn't resonate with you. (Ever.)


You decide what meaning you assign to what you experience. (Always.)


The practitioner is not in control of you while you are under hypnosis. If you do not want to allow the process to unfold, it won't.


If you do allow the process to unfold, you will observe impressions in your own awareness which can help you understand and reframe events that have happened in the past and how they relate to your current life experience. What you uncover may include:

  • The root cause of current physical symptoms, emotional patterns, fears, phobias, or limiting beliefs.
  • Events (in this life or perceived past lives) where a decision, trauma, or belief was formed that still affects you today.
  • Opportunities to release stored emotion, forgive, or shift the original imprint so healing can occur in the present.


Is it “real” or just imagination? From a scientific perspective:

  • Regression in hypnosis reliably produces vivid, emotionally charged recall — people describe sights, sounds, smells, and feelings with high detail.
  • Brain imaging shows increased activity in memory and emotion centers (hippocampus, amygdala) during regression, similar to real memory retrieval.
  • Whether the memories are literal historical events or symbolic/psychosomatic representations of current issues is debated — both can lead to healing.


In QHHT, Dolores Cannon viewed many regressions as actual past lives and supported that view with an abundance of documented evidence. Whether her view was accurate or not, the healing effect works either way: the subconscious mind uses the imagery it needs to resolve the present problem.


If the client chooses to allow the process, it bypasses the conscious ego mind’s defenses and lets you revisit and reframe experiences with compassion and wisdom. This often leads to:

  • Emotional release (tears, relief, forgiveness)
  • Physical symptom reduction
  • New insight into lifelong patterns
  • A sense of “completion” around old wounds


QHHT is a tool to understand, release, and heal what’s affecting you now — all while staying safe and supported in the present. What you decide to believe about the past is up to you.
